Imaginatively converted from the chapel of the former Ripon and York St
John College, the house comfortably offers self catering accommodation
for up to 4 people and stands in unspoilt grounds right on the edge of Ripon's
bustling centre.
You will love the splendour of the Old College as well as the extensive grounds
with beautiful trees, an elegant terrace and well manicured lawns.
Arranged over three floors the house has a light and spacious feel with high ceilings
and stone surround windows. The ground floor double bedroom is light and airy
and the arched chapel window gives views across the extensive college lawns. There
is a warm and cosy adjacent bathroom.
Upstairs the first floor dining area and kitchen are fitted to
a high standard and offer plenty of space for eating and relaxing.
Onwards and upwards to the galleried mezzanine floor - a real 'wow' factor. This
room runs right across the top of the house and provides a great spacious
lounge with a very sturdy and comfortable double sofa bed.
Throughout the house you will find examples
of the excellent work of talented artists from the arts and craft centre
at Henshaw's Society for Blind People in nearby Knaresborough.
Outside you can wander through the mature landscaped grounds,
or stroll into Ripon's charming market square, a five minute walk
away and with so much to offer.
Parking - you will have an allocated parking space and there is
additional visitor parking space if required.
The design of the house means that it is not suitable for children under
twelve (unless babes in arms) or people with limited mobility. We don't allow pets in the house.
